Event Detail

The 2026 Yingqu Technology Xiamen Haicang Half Marathon celebrates the event's tenth anniversary on Sunday 6 December, with an 18,000-runner field and a single 21.0975 km half-marathon distance. The race developed from the half-marathon component of the wider Xiamen Marathon before becoming an independent event in 2016. Its coastal city course connects Haicang District's mountains, sea, lakes, island scenery and urban waterfront.

Start, course and timing

The 2026 race starts at 07:00 China Standard Time at the junction of Xinggang Road and Jiaosong Road. The published course runs along Xinggang Road, Jiangang Road and Haicang Avenue, turns near Paitou Road, then uses Changyu Road and Binhu Road with out-and-back sections around Binhu North Road and Haicang Central TOD. The finish returns to the Xinggang Road and Jiaosong Road junction. The organiser notes that the final route is subject to official measurement. Local reporting says the course has been optimised with fewer slopes and turns, and that the start time is earlier than in previous editions.

Registration and eligibility

Registration is closed. Current-edition pre-registration and payment ran from 17 September at 10:00 until 8 October 2026 at 17:00, China time (UTC+08:00). The registration method was pre-registration → payment → ballot. Applicants unsuccessful in the draw receive a refund under the organiser's conditions. The advertised entry fees were CNY 180 for Chinese entrants, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and USD 60 for foreign entrants. Registration was available via the official event website, the organiser's WeChat account 厦门海沧半程马拉松 and the 文广体育 WeChat mini-programme. Do not interpret any third-party registration links as evidence of additional entry places after the deadline.

The 斗阵造 team competition is an additional competitive grouping for runners who have already enrolled in the half marathon; the organiser states that there is no extra team entry fee beyond the runner's normal individual registration. This is not a separate race distance.

Tenth-anniversary incentives and awards

The organiser has announced a special tenth-year participation route for eligible runners who finished each of the previous nine Haicang Half Marathon editions and applied for the 2026 race. In addition, 100 eligible finishers will be selected by random draw for opportunities to enter the 2027 Xiamen Marathon. This benefit is subject to the organiser's qualification requirements; completing the Haicang race alone does not guarantee one of the 100 places.

Competitive awards cover the top eight men and women, with event-record and eligible national performance bonuses, including a stated CNY 20,000 event-record bonus. Consult the organiser's final awards rules for eligibility and how awards can be combined.

Before race day

Race-pack collection arrangements and a final itemised participant pack have not yet been reliably confirmed for this edition; check the official race bulletin rather than assuming timings from 2025. Allow extra travel time for the early start and anticipated road closures on the waterfront roads. Runners should check the final 2026 course map, race-pack notice, wave assignment, baggage arrangements and official cut-offs before travelling.
