The Anjiang Half Marathon Hongjiang 2026 brings 3,000 runners to Anjiang Town in Hunan Province on Sunday 22 November 2026. Its sole race is a 21.0975 km half marathon, setting off at 08:30 China Standard Time (UTC+8) from Hybrid Rice Museum Square in Hongjiang, Huaihua. The advertised entry fee is CNY 100.

Why Anjiang?

Anjiang is closely connected to the origins of hybrid rice: agricultural scientist Yuan Longping spent 37 years working in the area. The surrounding cultural attractions include the Hybrid Rice Museum, the former Anjiang Agricultural School and the ancient Gaomiao archaeological site. The host region lies near the Xuefeng Mountains and Yuan River, offering a distinctive destination for visiting runners. These regional attractions are not a confirmed turn-by-turn race route.

Important entry conditions

The current-edition organiser announcement establishes eligibility requirements that runners should check before paying:

• Age: Half-marathon entrants must satisfy the organiser's 18–70 years eligibility rules; participants aged over 65 require a signed participation declaration from an immediate family member.
• Qualifying race experience: An entrant must provide two finishes in officially held, in-person races of at least 10 km within the preceding 24 months. For 10 km certificates from races held within Hunan Province, the announcement specifies recognition by the Hunan Athletics Association.
• Health: This is a demanding endurance race. The organiser requires participants to assess their health and training, recommends a check by a qualified medical institution, and lists medical circumstances in which competing is unsuitable.
• Application: Complete the participant declaration and registration form accurately. Payment is required to secure an accepted entry.
