Event Detail

The Ankang Half Marathon 2026 returns to Shaanxi Province on Sunday, 8 November, with a 21.0975 km road race through Ankang's High-tech Development Zone. The current organiser programme sets an 08:30 China Standard Time start at the south gate of Taohuayuan Park on Xin'ankang Avenue. The same gate is listed as the finish. Organisers have expanded the field to 10,000 runners, making this a substantial regional half marathon rather than a small community fun run.

Course and setting

The announced route leaves Taohuayuan Park via Xin'ankang Avenue, heads onto Gaoxin Avenue and turns near Zhongliang Yushu Garden. It then uses Beihuan Road, Qinling Avenue, Xinshidai Avenue and Huayuan Avenue, turning again near Ankang High-tech Secondary Vocational School before returning to the park. The organiser explicitly says the final route is subject to official course measurement, so runners should check for an updated map and road-closure advice before travelling.

Ankang sits between the Qinling and Daba mountain regions and is known for the Han River. This edition showcases its newer urban roads, while the organiser has also announced a local-breakfast-themed supporting activity. Details of that activity's timing and participation arrangements should be checked directly.

Entry and race preparation

The published entry period runs from 13 October at 10:00 to 26 October 2026 at 18:00, China Standard Time. The half-marathon entry fee is CNY 120. Registration uses a pre-registration, payment and ballot process, with ballot results expected in late October. Entry is through the official race website or the organiser's WeChat mini-programme. Applicants should read the current eligibility and health requirements, including the minimum-age rule, before paying.

Awards and travel

The published awards programme recognises the leading 30 men and 30 women, with first-place prize money up to CNY 8,000. Race-pack collection times, detailed hydration arrangements and the final participant guide should be confirmed through the official website rather than assumed from previous editions. For visitors, Taohuayuan Park is in Ankang's High-tech Zone; allow extra time for race-morning transport and any traffic restrictions.

Official entry assistance

For the current 2026 edition, the official race website provides registration enquiries on +86 25 8777 5902, Monday to Friday 09:30–11:30 and 14:00–17:00 China Standard Time, excluding public holidays. The website also publishes the competition regulations and 2026 course notice. Keep checking it for final bib-collection dates and any route revisions; these have not been independently confirmed.

Official updates: the race website publishes regulations, registration instructions, route notices and volunteer or pacer announcements.
