Huanggang Half Marathon 2026

The 2026 Huanggang Half Marathon brings up to 10,000 runners to Huangzhou District in Hubei on Sunday 8 November 2026. The one-distance event starts at 08:00 China Standard Time from Yiai Qingfeng Square beside Yiai Lake, and finishes at the same square. Huanggang is associated with poet and statesman Su Dongpo; the race links the city's cultural heritage, lakeside landscapes and newer urban districts.

Half-marathon route

The published 21.0975 km itinerary leaves Yiai Qingfeng Square on Chibi Avenue, continues via Huangzhou Avenue, Wanghu Road, Xingang Second Road, Qi'an Avenue and Shahu Avenue, then returns to Chibi Avenue for a turnaround at Zhanqian East Road and the finish. Organiser materials describe a revision from earlier lake-loop courses towards broader streets with fewer turns. The route and any changes remain subject to final race-week traffic controls.

Start, eligibility and support

The scheduled start is 08:00. Participants should be in their designated assembly area at least 40 minutes before the start. The published competition rules include intermediate cut-offs and course withdrawal procedures; runners removed from the course may use the organiser's sweep vehicle or public transport. A-class recognition from the China Athletics Association was applied for, not established as final in the available 2026 rules.

Entrants must satisfy the race's age and recent-performance requirements. The published entry guide indicates ages 18–70 and proof, from the preceding 24 months, of one half-marathon finish or two races of 10 km or longer. Check the official registration terms for the document format and age cut-off before applying.

The live 2026 Zuicool registration partner currently displays OPEN and now lists a deadline of Sunday 25 October 2026 at 18:00 China Standard Time. Earlier publicity variously stated 20 October or 22 October, so those dates are superseded for this listing by the active booking platform's later deadline. The half-marathon fee is CNY 150. If applications exceed available places, the organiser plans a ballot and refunds for unsuccessful applicants. Entry is not guaranteed simply because the registration page is open.

Practical race-day arrangements

The published rules specify baggage deposit from 06:00 to 07:45 and normal retrieval until 12:00. Do not place valuables or original identity documents in deposited bags. Drinking-water and beverage stations are planned at approximately five-kilometre intervals, with water points between them. The 2026 race-pack collection address, exact collection hours, course elevation profile and full prize schedule are not yet independently verified. Check the organiser's final participant instructions rather than assuming previous-edition arrangements.
