Xianyi Cup Xianyou Marathon 2026 - Fujian, China

The 2026 Xianyi Cup Xianyou Marathon (2026仙艺杯·仙游马拉松) takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026 in Xianyou County, Putian, Fujian Province. This China Athletics Association A-class road-running event welcomes a planned 12,000 entrants: 4,000 in the 42.195 km marathon and 8,000 in the 21.0975 km half marathon. Both races are scheduled to start at 07:30 China Standard Time (UTC+8) from China Classical Crafts Expo City, a landmark dedicated to Xianyou's traditional furniture-making and carved-wood craftsmanship.

Race day and destination

Xianyou's heritage of intricate wooden furniture and its inland Fujian setting distinguish the marathon from the province's coastal city races. Check the organiser's final route map, assembly-area arrangements, course cut-offs, transport notices and race-pack instructions before travelling. A confirmed 2026 course map or precise finishing locations have not yet been independently established for this listing.

Registration and ballot status

New applications closed on 8 October 2026 at 17:00 CST. Applications were subject to a ballot, with initial successful applicants announced on 15 October at 10:00 and required to pay by 20 October at 17:00. From 23 October at 10:00, the organiser began notifying eligible replacement applicants by SMS when places became available. Each successful waitlisted applicant has five days from notification to pay; this is not a fresh public registration period. The registration platform currently labels entries closed. Consult the official 八闽名赛 WeChat account or the Fu Yun Events mini-programme for your personal ballot/payment status.

The published domestic entry fees were CNY 160 for the marathon and CNY 130 for the half marathon; overseas-runner fees were CNY 320 and CNY 260 respectively. Successful entries cannot be transferred to another participant or distance. Confirmed entry fees are generally non-refundable under the published 2026 regulations, subject to any rights applicable under the organiser's final rules.

Distinctive participant benefits

Current-edition organiser publicity confirms a running-shoe gift and sports socks for each entrant: the DUANG Series 2.0 shoes are advertised for marathon entrants and Airrun Light Run 3 Pro shoes for half-marathon entrants. Organiser publicity also promotes scenic-area ticket benefits for visiting runners. Verify shoe sizing, ticket redemption and collection arrangements through the official participant guide; exact expo opening times remain unconfirmed. Do not confuse these participation gifts with the separate cash prize and podium rules, which have not been reliably extracted for 2026.
