Finisher medal on successful completion within the official limit
Event Detail
The 2026 Zhongshan Cuiheng New District Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 20 December 2026 at 7:30 am on Ma'an Island, in the Greater Bay Area city of Zhongshan, Guangdong. With a planned field of 6,000 runners, this is a single-distance 21.0975 km half marathon rather than a multi-distance running festival. Organisers announced detailed registration and course arrangements on 21 October, superseding earlier information that said entries had not yet opened.
Coastal route and race morning
The confirmed start and finish area is Haifeng Road East Entrance, Jihe Cuihengli (海风路东口,集盒·翠亨里). The published route passes through Xingwan Road, Weilai (Future) Avenue, Beichen Road, Wugui Road, Heqing Road, Huandao Road and Haiyue Road before returning to the start precinct. The island course offers views of the Lingdingyang coastline, wetlands, newer urban districts and the Shenzhen-Zhongshan transport corridor. Final course markings and aid-station positions remain subject to the organiser's instructions.
Race-day check-in is scheduled for 06:00–07:15, ahead of the 07:30 gun, all in China Standard Time (UTC+8). Runners assemble in start zones based on qualifying performances. Confirm arrangements for transport, restricted roads and the final starting enclosure before travelling.
Registration now open
Registration opened at 10:00 on 21 October 2026 and is advertised to close at 18:00 on 10 November 2026 (China time), subject to the organiser's entry arrangements. Applicants pay at pre-registration, and where valid applications exceed 6,000 places the allocation is decided by a ballot. Results are scheduled for 13 November; fees for unsuccessful applicants are to be returned by the organiser. The Zuicool official registration partner also lists the current-edition entry details. Avoid submitting duplicate applications through multiple official partner platforms.
Participants must be 18–65 years old in 2026 and supply qualifying results achieved within the previous two years: either an eligible recognised half marathon or longer finish, or at least two recognised 10 km or longer finishes under the published competition rules. A recent medical-examination certificate is required at check-in; older runners may have additional declaration requirements. Always consult the full current-edition conditions on the registration platform.
Race-pack collection and race weekend
Race-pack collection is scheduled for 17 December, 15:00–20:00; 18 December, 10:00–20:00; and 19 December, 10:00–22:00. Collection must be completed in person. The exact pickup venue has not yet been announced and should not be assumed to be the start line.
The Ma'an Island festival programme is expected to include local performances and markets around race weekend, but runners should check event communications for confirmed times and locations. Registration confirmation, final course notices and later participant updates take precedence over outdated November race-calendar listings.
