Event Detail
The AVOHK Reservoir Series Race 2 takes runners around Tai Tam Reservoir on Hong Kong Island on Sunday, 1 November 2026, starting at 8:30 am. The 11 km cross-country race takes place on the scenic reservoir and surrounding country-park roads, with rolling terrain and a small-club racing atmosphere. The organiser is Athletics Veterans of Hong Kong (AVOHK).
Race 2 of a three-event series
This is the middle race of AVOHK's 2026 Reservoir Series. Race 1 covered 12 km at Aberdeen Reservoir on Saturday, 26 September; Race 2 is 11 km at Tai Tam on Sunday, 1 November; and Race 3 will be 7 km at Shing Mun Reservoir on Saturday, 14 November. The organiser explains that Sunday's timing is intentional because the Tai Tam venue is in use on the preceding Saturday.
The overall series is determined using each runner's best two results from the three races. AVOHK publishes men's and women's five-year Masters age groups, with minimum age 16, including an open 16–34 division, a 35–39 division and five-year age groups from 40 upwards. Runners seeking a series award should confirm how the best-two scoring rules apply to their entered category.
Entries, race pack and prizes
The published ARC entry tiers are HK$250 for non-members and HK$200 for AVOHK members. The organiser's 13 October 2026 update explicitly announced that Race 2 entries were still open at that time. As the Njuko registration interface was not independently readable during this 24 October check, availability today is not verified; use the organiser's entry link to confirm whether places remain. A final closing date has not been substantiated.
Race bibs are collected on race day. Finishers of at least one Reservoir Series race qualify for a commemorative series T-shirt. AVOHK awards age-group medals for individual races, with additional series medals or trophies and vouchers for eligible competitors who complete at least two races. The first, second and third eligible series competitors in each age category are advertised with HK$500, HK$300 and HK$200 vouchers, respectively.
Please review the official AVOHK Race 2 announcement and Reservoir Series information for the final course map, runner check-in arrangements, updates and entry links.
