Jatim Ultra 2027

Jatim Ultra 2027 is a point-to-point 100 km road ultramarathon across East Java, travelling from Malang towards Surabaya on 23–24 January 2027. The organiser specifies a 19-hour cut-off. This is not a loop race: the advertised finish city is Surabaya, not the Malang start area. The precise starting arch, finishing arch, flag-off hour, checkpoint locations and transport arrangements have not yet been confirmed publicly. The dates in this listing describe the event window; any midnight or end-of-day calendar time should not be interpreted as an official start, finish or cut-off time.

Entry is by application and screening

The organiser accepted applications from 31 August 2026 at 18:00 WIB until 4 October 2026 at 23:59 WIB; that window has now closed. This was not a first-come, first-served ticket sale. Applicants were individually screened on their running history and evidence of training consistency, such as a Strava log or equivalent. There was no fixed minimum weekly mileage. Submission alone did not guarantee an entry. Each applicant was to receive an email outcome: accepted, rejected or asked to correct information.

Accepted runners have seven days after approval to pay the published participation fee, otherwise the slot is released. The organiser maintains an official confirmed-runner list, but appearing on an application list alone does not establish an approved entry. No new applications should be presumed possible after the advertised closing date unless the organiser announces a reopening.

Race rules and preparation

The official FAQs describe a road race with water stations and support crews provided by the committee. Outside support is not permitted; ordinary commercial transactions such as purchasing something from a shop on the route are the stated exception. Bib or entry transfers to another runner are prohibited. The organiser advertises a finisher package but has not specified its contents.

A 100 km intercity run demands a different travel plan from a city-centre loop: entrants should arrange accommodation and personal transport with the Malang start region and Surabaya finish region in mind. The publicly available information does not yet confirm the specific route, road restrictions, medical provisions, race-pack collection, compulsory gear, drop bags or runner transfers.
