Air Force Run Manado 2026

Air Force Run Manado 2026 is a 5 km road race organised by Lanud Sam Ratulangi, bringing runners together on Saturday 7 November 2026 at the basketball court in Kawasan Megamas, Manado, North Sulawesi. The race's city-centre course follows the Megamas precinct and Boulevard Manado, with aviation-themed community celebrations and organised road safety.

Race-day programme

The organiser confirms a 06:00 WITA (UTC+8) flag-off, with a 90-minute cut-off at 07:30. Gates open at 04:30; opening activities, group warm-up and briefing take place before the start. The official schedule has appeared in two versions, with warm-up shown at 05:00 on one version and 05:30 on another, so runners should arrive early and follow their final organiser briefing. Awards are scheduled from 08:00 and entertainment follows.

Course, hydration and finisher rules

The official 5.0 km route crosses central Manado, with one water station and compulsory checkpoint at kilometre 2.5. Organisers describe two medical-assistance positions and road marshals along the route. To receive a finisher medal, participants must complete the course and pass the 2.5 km checkpoint. This is a city-road event, not a race around the airport airfield.

Participant requirements

There are two entry divisions: General, open to the public for IDR 175,000, and TNI/POLRI, for eligible serving members and immediate family, at IDR 150,000. Men and women in each division have separate top-three podium awards. Participants must be at least 12 on race day, and runners under 17 need signed parental or guardian consent. Identity documents are needed for verification and insurance. TNI/POLRI entrants need their qualifying service/family documentation.

The official category guidance also asks runners to set up Tring by Pegadaian with a minimum account balance of IDR 10,000 and show it at race-pack collection. Check this requirement with the organiser before travelling; it is separate from the entry fee. Entries are submitted through the organiser's registration form, with payment verification and an electronic ticket issued by the event team. The form was available for selection when checked on 24 October 2026, but a functioning form does not guarantee that places remain available. No verified registration closing date has been published.

Race pack and facilities

The organiser's race-pack notice specifies H-2, Thursday 5 November, at Lanud Sam Ratulangi Manado, not the Megamas start line. Bring your confirmation email and original KTP. The notice does not give pickup opening/closing hours; check before setting out. Participant provisions include an official race jersey, bib, finisher medal for qualifying finishers, one-day BRI Life accident/life protection, water/isotonic drinks and finish-line refreshments.
