Mandiri Bintan Marathon 2026

Mandiri Bintan Marathon 2026 returns to Lagoi Bay and Plaza Lagoi, Bintan Resorts, for a two-day destination-running festival on 21–22 November 2026. Presented by Bintan Resorts in collaboration with iSport, the fifth edition is designed to welcome up to 5,000 participants for road races on the island's coastal resort roads. The official theme, “Run and Discover: Restore Our Mangroves”, combines running with attention to the area's marine and coastal environment.

Two-day race programme

The opening day, Saturday 21 November, is dedicated to the 3K Family Run and 5K Fun Run, giving families and recreational runners an accessible introduction to the event. The main competitive road races take place on Sunday 22 November, with 10K, 21.1K half marathon and 42.195K marathon distances. The 3K format involves children running with a parent or guardian; entrants should check the age and pair requirements on the official entry pages.

Lagoi's resort-road setting offers a different experience from a city-centre marathon: participants can expect tropical greenery, coastal scenery and a comparatively level road environment. Heat, humidity and potential rain should nevertheless be considered when planning hydration, pacing and clothing.

Competition divisions and race rules

The organiser differentiates National/Closed and Open/International entry divisions, reflected in the race category fee cards. The National prize division is restricted to Indonesian citizens. The Open/International prize division allows both international runners and Indonesians registered through that entry channel. An additional Masters division is advertised for eligible older runners. Check the organiser's current terms before selecting a competitive division or assuming eligibility for a podium award.

Race-pack collection and race-weekend planning

The 2026 organiser FAQ confirms race-pack collection at Plaza Lagoi on Friday 20 November, 10 am–6 pm WIB. Bring your e-voucher and the valid identification used at registration. Entry is subject to capacity and the organiser's registration terms; do not infer live availability from an older advertisement. The organiser forbids overnight camping or waiting within the event area, and travellers should plan accommodation and transfers in advance. Participants arriving from outside Bintan should confirm ferry arrival arrangements, ground transport, and any race-day traffic restrictions using the final organiser notices.

Running for Bintan's coast

A portion of registration income supports the Mangrove Replanting Program, including replanting and coastal education. The event aims to draw attention to the role of mangrove habitats in maintaining healthy shorelines while bringing visitors to the island.
