Twincity Marathon 2027

The 12th Twincity Marathon brings runners to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya, Malaysia, for two days of road racing on 23–24 January 2027. Six distances cater for children, recreational runners and competitive athletes. Saturday's 3K Kids Dash and 10K Friendship Run are followed by Sunday's 42K marathon, 21K half marathon, 12K race and 5K fun run.

The official 2027 organiser website currently marks ALL SIX race categories "SOLD OUT". This is a live availability statement, not evidence of the original sales-closing date. The published normal fees are retained on this listing for reference, but runners should not interpret them as proof that places are available. Check the official Twincity Marathon website for any organiser-announced releases, transfers or other entry arrangements. The organiser permits bib transfers only during an officially announced Bib Transfer Marketplace window; do not buy informal second-hand bibs.

Race schedule (Malaysia time, UTC+8)

• Saturday 23 January: 3K Kids Dash at 07:00 (no cut-off); 10K Friendship Run at 07:45 (two-hour cut-off).
• Sunday 24 January: 42K marathon at 02:30 (eight-hour cut-off); 21K half marathon at 03:45 (four-hour cut-off); 12K race at 06:45 (2.5-hour cut-off); 5K fun run at 07:00 (two-hour cut-off).

The marathon is for entrants aged 18+, the half marathon 16+, and the Kids Dash 15 or under; other distances are promoted as open categories. Finisher shirts are reserved for eligible marathon and half-marathon finishers. The organiser advertises category-specific prizes and cash awards.

Routes, safety and runner arrangements

The organiser now displays official route-map material, including a downloadable high-resolution 42K map and an interactive course-selection area, so the earlier claim that no route maps had been published is outdated. Its marathon map panel carries a World Athletics/AIMS-certified claim, while the FAQ still says detailed route-certification information will appear in the final guide. Review the official map and race guide for the final route, road closures and certification details rather than relying on previous editions.

Water and medical stations are planned; pacers are advertised, with their qualifications to be confirmed. Baggage storage will be available for selected categories. Strollers, bicycles, scooters and pets are prohibited on course unless the organiser specifically permits an exception. The event normally proceeds in rain unless authorities or organisers consider conditions unsafe. Registration fees are non-refundable, according to the official FAQ.

Race-pack collection

Collect bibs and kits at Hall A, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on 21 or 22 January, 11:00–20:00, or 23 January, 10:00–18:00. Bring your confirmation slip (printed or digital) and MyKad, national ID or passport. Proxy collection is permitted with the organiser's required signed authorisation and supporting documents.
