Cebu Marathon 2027

The Cebu Marathon 2027 brings a major international road-running weekend to Cebu City on Sunday, 10 January 2027, during the colourful Sinulog festival season. Presented by Cebu Landmasters Inc., this AIMS-certified road race starts and finishes at the SM Seaside City Cebu Grounds and is organised by DJT Events with the Cebu City Sports Commission and Cebu Executive Runners Club involved in the event.

CCLEX and the Cebu running experience

The signature highlight for marathon and half-marathon participants is the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), a major bridge crossing over the Mactan Channel. Its elevated spans offer broad coastal and city views, but can also expose runners to wind and the tropical conditions common in Cebu. The 10K and 5K are shorter alternatives for runners who want to be part of the same city-wide celebration without tackling the full bridge-distance challenge. The organiser publishes separate 2027 route maps for all four distances.

Sinulog-themed street entertainment, music and traditional drum beaters are planned to help runners along the way. There is particular value in planning transport carefully: marathon runners set off at midnight, followed by the half marathon at 3 am, 10K at 4:30 am and 5K at 5:30 am, all Philippine time. The category cards contain the precise flag-off times and current advertised entry rates.

Race management and course support

The organiser states that the full marathon has an eight-hour cut-off, the half marathon four hours, 10K two hours and 5K one hour. Water points are scheduled approximately every 2.5 km, and isotonic drinks every 5 km starting at the 10 km mark. The event promotes a zero-waste hydration policy intended to avoid single-use plastic on the course. Medical support and first-aid personnel are planned on the route and at the finish. Pacers are advertised for the marathon and half marathon.

Runners must display their official bib clearly on the front of their clothing. Race entries and bibs are not transferable: running under another person's registered name can lead to disqualification and exclusion from the official results. The event welcomes international participants under the same race and cut-off rules.

Entering and preparing

The official 2027 registration window is 15 August to 15 November 2026, or until places sell out, whichever comes first. The organiser specifies 15 November as a date, but does not publish an exact closing hour, so do not treat an arbitrary morning cut-off as official. The existence of a future advertised deadline does not guarantee that any particular distance still has spaces. Entry is online only, with no race-day or on-site registration. The organiser lists online banking, remittance centres, e-wallets through Dragonpay, and PayPal or credit card as payment options. It sends an order confirmation followed by a separate payment confirmation; runners should retain both and follow the invoice instructions.

Successful finishers receive the entitlements listed under their individual category, with the 42K and 21K including a finisher towel. Race-day prizes are awarded to leading male and female athletes, and the organiser advertises a grand prize draw. A confirmed 2027 race-kit collection date, location and hours were not identified during this check, so entrants should consult the official race guide and emails rather than rely on an earlier edition's expo schedule.
