Event Detail
The 111th Bangkok Yai District Mini Marathon 2026 celebrates 111 years of Bangkok Yai district with an early-morning community road-running event on Sunday 22 November. Organised by the Bangkok Yai Park team, the race starts and finishes outside Bangkok Yai Phirom Park on the Thon Buri side of Bangkok. It offers an 11 km mini marathon for runners wanting a longer local challenge and a 5 km fun run for those looking for a shorter introduction to the neighbourhood.
Courses and race morning
- 11 km mini marathon: scheduled to start at 4:30 am. The published route passes through parts of the Bangkok Yai and neighbouring Thon Buri street network, including the Talat Phlu, Phasi Charoen canal, Bang Phai and Wat Tha Phra areas. Participants should follow the organiser's final marshalled route because the road layout and access arrangements may change.
- 5 km fun run: scheduled to start at 5:00 am. The published shorter route uses sections around Itsaraphap Road, Wat Dee Duat, Charan Sanit Wong Road, Wat Tha Phra/MRT Tha Phra and Wat Ratchasittharam.
- Start and finish: in front of Bangkok Yai Phirom Park. Runners should allow extra time for very early travel and possible race-day road restrictions.
- Hydration: organiser information indicates water points at approximately 2 km intervals on the published courses.
Awards and categories
Organiser announcements advertise overall trophies for the first three male and female finishers in both distances. The 11 km also has men's and women's age-group trophies for the first three in six bands: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59 and 60+. Confirm the final eligibility and prize-claim rules with the organiser before relying on a particular award.
The organiser has also announced a separate 3 km family run registered through a Google Form linked from its social page. It is not included in the two standard online registration categories shown on the ThaiRun portal; anyone interested should check the organiser's current family-run announcement rather than assuming it is included with a 5 km ticket.
Registration and preparations
The two standard races are advertised at THB 590 for 11 km and THB 450 for 5 km, with different event-shirt colours for the distances. The published closing date is 7 November 2026 at 11:59 pm Bangkok time, or earlier if allocations are exhausted. Register via the event's listing on the official race.thai.run platform by searching the Thai title 111 ปี เขตบางกอกใหญ่ Mini Marathon; check the live booking status before paying.
As of 25 October 2026, the checked organiser announcements had not established a reliable race cut-off time, chip-timing policy or race-pack collection venue and schedule. Do not assume older events' arrangements apply. Check the organiser's updated notices before race weekend and bring the identification and confirmation requested by the registration platform.
Source verification: Current-edition ThaiRun race listing, supplemented by the 19–22 October 2026 checks of the organiser's published distances, fees, route and awards.
