Event Detail
Hua Hin Close City Half 2027 brings its second edition to the Thai coastal resort of Hua Hin on Sunday 11 July 2027. The organiser's current-edition promotional artwork names Market Village Hua Hin as the event venue and features the slogan Run to Hua Hin. This is a road-running event centred on a destination that is popular with Thai and international visitors, with three advertised running distances for different experience levels.
Event programme and setting
The 2027 announcement lists a 21 km half marathon, 10 km mini marathon and 5 km fun run. A promotional graphic also mentions a VIP category, but that is not a fourth race distance and its inclusions have not been announced. The main event information points to Market Village Hua Hin, a shopping and transport landmark on Phetkasem Road, providing a recognisable location for participants planning where to stay and how to reach the race hub.
The organiser's 2027 campaign highlights an international field, including runners from Asian and European countries. The artwork mentions people from 21 nationalities; treat this as the organiser's promotional claim, not an independently audited number of registered 2027 entrants. Specific road routes, course certification, elevation, safety stations, race village arrangements and cut-offs have not yet been confirmed. Previous-year promotional photos or shirts should not be mistaken for final 2027 kit.
Before registering
The artwork dated 11 July 2027 says registration is opening soon, so there is currently no verified 2027 fee schedule, entry deadline, flag-off timetable or race-pack collection plan. Runners should consult the event's official Facebook announcement for release of categories, prices, qualification rules, age limits and the final course map. The race start time is not yet announced. Check the final timetable in Thailand time (ICT, UTC+7).
Hua Hin is on the Gulf of Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Participants travelling to the event should plan accommodation with race-morning access in mind, allow for possible road closures once announced, and account for tropical heat and humidity. Do not rely on unsourced statements about awards, medals, water stations, chip timing or transport until the organiser publishes a race guide.
