KORAT Loifaa Marathon 2026 - Two-Day Lam Ta Khong Run

KORAT Loifaa Marathon 2026 is a two-day road-running weekend on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026 at the upper Lam Ta Khong reservoir, Chonlaphawatthana Power Plant, Khao Yai Thiang, Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima. Despite 'Marathon' in the official event name, the advertised 2026 race programme is 5K, 10K and 21.1K only; there is no confirmed full 42.195K marathon category.

A reservoir-side hill challenge

The organiser describes the race as an unusually demanding road course through rolling hill after hill, above the Lam Ta Khong waterway and hydroelectric power-station area. The setting combines sweeping views with frequent climbs; runners considering the half marathon should practise sustained uphill and downhill running rather than planning for a flat road race.

• Saturday 28 November, 17:00: 5K start. 1-hour cut-off, advertised entry THB 350.
• Sunday 29 November, 05:30: 21.1K half-marathon start. 4-hour cut-off, entry THB 650, chip timing and finisher shirt.
• Sunday 29 November, 06:00: 10K start. 2-hour cut-off, entry THB 450, chip timing.

The organiser advertises 3,000 places across the event, and quoted entry prices exclude registration/payment processing fees. Its listed partners include the Province of Nakhon Ratchasima, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand/Lam Ta Khong Chonlaphawatthana Power Plant and the provincial Sports Authority office. The public event announcement expressly prohibits running under someone else's bib and buying or selling race entries; disqualification may follow.

Race-pack collection and access

• Friday 27 November, 13:00–19:00: Terminal21 Korat shopping centre.
• Saturday 28 November, 13:00–19:00: Upper reservoir/Chonlaphawatthana Power Plant venue.

These are two alternative collection sessions at different venues; use the organiser's most recent race-pack instructions to confirm ID requirements and access arrangements before travelling. Participants arriving from Korat city should allow time for the drive to Khao Yai Thiang and any parking or restricted-entry procedures at the power-plant complex.

Registration status (checked 25 October 2026): the named RunRace entry page currently blocks independent inspection, so live availability and the final registration deadline cannot be confirmed. An organiser-sourced 2026 announcement verifies the race dates, fees, categories and race-pack sessions, but is not proof that entries are still being accepted. The event's full 42.195K marathon is not among the announced 2026 categories; this is a separate race from the Korat city marathon held on 8 November.
