VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong 2026

VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong returns for its fourth edition on Sunday 27 December 2026, ending the VnExpress Marathon calendar in one of northern Vietnam's busiest port cities. Its established fast and largely flat road-running courses make the event particularly attractive to runners looking for a year-end personal best. The previous edition drew approximately 14,000 participants and produced 134 sub-three-hour marathon finishes.

The Hai Phong course and race experience

The event offers 5K, 10K, half marathon and full marathon races. The established marathon route features long straight stretches and relatively few sharp turns. The organiser's registration material says the routes are certified by the Vietnam Athletics Federation and follow World Athletics requirements, with managed road access, medical support, participant insurance and refreshment stations providing water, electrolytes and fruit. Free race photographs are also promoted.

Hai Phong's colonial-era streetscapes, waterfront setting and distinctive local food are part of the appeal for travelling runners. The precise 2026 course map and start/finish location remain to be confirmed, so participants should not treat a previous edition's route as this year's official course.

Registration and the changing ticket prices

Entries are advertised as open as of 23 October 2026. The organiser's dated pricing schedule places the event in its Early Bird period from 9 to 28 October; the structured category cards show those rates, not the expired Super Early Bird prices. The next Regular period is 29 October–2 December, followed by Late prices from 3 to 16 December, unless a distance sells out earlier. Check the live booking total at payment, and note that group discounts may apply to eligible bulk registrations. The registration form's headline can lag behind the published date-based schedule.

Each runner should enter using their own identity information and review the organiser's conditions, including the no-refund policy. The official registration form says participant information cannot be edited after 2 December 2026. The organiser describes a race shirt and finisher medal, with an additional finisher shirt for half-marathon and marathon entrants; benefits are subject to the final published race pack.
