Bela Negara Fun Run 2026

Bela Negara Fun Run 2026 is a community-oriented, non-competitive 5K heritage run in Padang, West Sumatra, on Sunday, 20 December 2026. Inspired by the history of the Pemerintah Darurat Republik Indonesia (PDRI) in 1948, it marks Indonesia's Hari Bela Negara (National Defence Day), commemorated on 19 December. The organisers are inviting ordinary residents and Generasi Pejuang to celebrate national history through accessible outdoor exercise, remembrance and community activities.

Confirmed race venue and programme

The official ticketing platform identifies Kantor Gubernur Sumatera Barat (West Sumatra Governor's Office), Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Padang, as the current race location, replacing an earlier venue mentioned in some promotional material. The platform gives 23:00 UTC on 19 December, equivalent to 06:00 WIB on Sunday 20 December, as the event time. The 5K is a fun run, not an advertised timed competition, and should not be presented as a certified race or one offering cash prizes.

The broader event programme advertises a commemorative atmosphere with a flag ceremony, heritage-run experience, local UMKM small-business festival, sponsor activations and opportunities to win door prizes. These form part of the participation experience rather than separate race distances.

Registration and prices

As checked on 25 October 2026, the official EZTIX checkout advertises an Early Bird 5K ticket at IDR 169,000, for 1–31 October 2026, until 23:59 WIB on 31 October or earlier if the allocation sells out. This corrects the old ARC listing, which incorrectly dated the same Early Bird price to September. The end of this promotional pricing window is not evidence that all event registration closes on 31 October. Later tiers and availability should be checked directly on the live ticketing page. The checkout may add an administrative or platform payment fee.

One ticket permits one participant. Enter legal personal information accurately, including the jersey size; the organiser may request identification, and requests to change size depend on stock and the organiser's deadline. Ticket transfers to another participant require organiser consent. Under-age entrants need a parent or guardian's permission.

Runner safety and preparation

The organiser advises participants to be physically prepared, to follow marshals and medical staff, and to stop if they feel unwell. Organisers may change the route or programme for safety and technical reasons. On-course drinking water and refreshments are advertised. Race-pack pickup location and hours have not yet been released: participants should look out for the organiser's official notice and take their booking confirmation and identification. Collection on behalf of another person is subject to the organiser's authorisation rules.
